For 9th to 11th Graders: Plan your summer with your future in mind!
Students finished with 9th and 10th grades attend my week long, half-day summer camp,
“College Explorations” as a way to begin the college search. Be more efficient with
your college visits by having your student do the research!
College Exploration: Searching for Schools
The objective of this class is for high school students to start exploring colleges
and college majors. Students end the week with a list of colleges to which they could
potentially apply. We cover:
- What college is like academically, and how to decide on a major;
- How to find the college that you want;
- How to use junior year to ensure great recommendations;
- Taking extra-curricular activities to the next level, and having a great time doing
it;
- What the college application looks like, and developing a plan for a great application.
Students learn by listening to short lectures, doing internet research, and making
presentations to each other on the results of their research. In 2013, this class
will be offered June 24-28 and July 22-26.
"College Exploration: Searching for Schools" costs $300.
